  • Ask to see a copy of their Licence Certificate. Check it for currency and level of qualification. If they are willing to misrepresent themselves to you on such a basic issue as their level of qualification then it is probable that you canít trust anything else that they tell you.
  • Are they Market savvy? The market is in a constant state of change, so the professional that you choose should be knowledgeable, efficient and pro-active about staying ahead.
  • Do they use advanced technology tools? Ours is a different world these days and the tools of the trade have changed to meet the times. Ask them what high-tech tools they use to ensure that your home has great exposure. Do they provide a simple, convenient and non-threatening method for buyers to commence negotiations on your home.
  • Do they have a detailed Marketing Plan? In todayís constantly shifting market, busy professionals leave nothing to chance. With a plan of action, youíll feel more confident in their ability to achieve the results that you want.
  • Are they full or part time? It is important to know up front whether the person that you are considering is fully engaged in the listing and selling of homes and all that entails, or if this is a part time focus for them.
  • What is their experience level? This is an important factor to assess. Whether the person is new or a seasoned veteran, look for enthusiasm, commitment, knowledge and the willingness to go the extra mile. In tough markets experience can make the difference.
  • Do they have References or Testimonials? Most great professionals are happy to share their Testimonials with you. In fact, top performers generate most of their business from their referral base. They consider and treat their clients as the VIPís they are and they will be happy for you to check them out.
